Abstract

There exists an apparent discrepancy between proton decay experiment and simplest SU(5) prediction. We suggest a scheme: if there exists an extra Z0 boson, then the experimental value of the proton decay may be calculated from GUT and the good results of SU(5) can be preserved. The increasing fermions will not be bizarre.
