Abstract

In a talk originally delivered in Montevideo, Uruguay, Noam Chomsky warns of the dangers posed by an inattention to climate change by dominant economic societies (specifically the US), and connects that threat to the growing threat of nuclear war. Chomsky concludes that the global community is on a crash-course with destruction, spearheaded by the richest countries in the world, and threatening the most vulnerable among us.
