Abstract
Purpose. The aim of the work is to study the problems and prospects for the development of multimodal transport of dangerous goods with the participation of railway transport of Ukraine, subject to the admissible safety. Methodology. During the study, methods of analysis and synthesis were used to study the main provisions of scientific publications on the status and prospects of multimodal transportation of dangerous goods with further comparison and synthesis, as well as the current regulatory framework in terms of using different types of transport. Findings. Improving the regulatory framework and elements of the technological chain of multimodal transportation of dangerous goods will improve the quality of customer service for railway transport, attract additional freight flows and improve safety. Scientific novelty . The results obtained as a result of the research make it possible to provide a scientific basis for the choice of rational ways of improving the technology of multimodal transportation of dangerous goods, which will increase the efficiency of the railway industry as a whole. Practical value. The results obtained allow substantiating the most appropriate ways to improve the regulatory framework and technology of multimodal transport of dangerous goods.

Summary
Метою роботи є дослідження проблем і перспектив розвитку мультимодальних перевезень небезпечних вантажів за участю залізничного транспорту України за умови дотримання допустимого рівня безпеки. Під час дослідження використано методи аналізу та синтезу для вивчення основних положень наукових публікацій щодо стану та перспектив мультимодальних перевезень небезпечних вантажів з подальшим їх порівнянням та узагальненням, а також діючої нормативної бази в умовах використання різних видів транспорту. Удосконалення нормативної бази та елементів технологічного ланцюга мультимодального перевезення небезпечних вантажів дозволить підвищити якість обслуговування клієнтів залізничного транспорту, залучити додаткові вантажопотоки та підвищити рівень безпеки. Одержані в результаті дослідження результати дозволяють підвести наукове підґрунтя щодо вибору доцільних способів удосконалення технології мультимодальних перевезень небезпечних вантажів, що забезпечить підвищення ефективності функціонування залізничної галузі в цілому. Отримані результати дозволяють обґрунтувати найбільш доцільні шляхи вдосконалення нормативної бази та технології мультимодальних перевезень небезпечних вантажів.
