Abstract

The research objective was to develop a proposal that responds to the new demands and needs of journalism professionals for their adequate work performance and social contribution. For this purpose, a bibliographic search of megatrends in national and international journalism was carried out; information was also collected in a population of 40 graduates from communication schools who work in convergent journalistic companies, two directors of multiplatform media and 7 curricula from universities that They offer a master's degree in journalism. As the research is descriptive at the proposal level, with the bibliography on curricular design and taking into account the needs and demands of the labor market and society, a design proposal was developed with the socio-formative approach, elaborating the competencies of the entry and exit profile, the study plan, the curricular framework, as well as the training projects for the master's degree in journalism. The conclusions of the study indicate that the proposal will allow better work performance of professionals, the development of skills that lead them to solve real problems in the social context and improve their living conditions.
