Abstract

This study is addressed to the problem of constructing a module of mathematics scheme of work for engineering students in the Libyan Universities.
 Thus this study is concerned with investigation of the Mathematical needs of the engineering students in the Libya Universities. The following steps indicate the procedure followed to arrive to the above objective:
 
 Collecting information from different sources and references about the mathematics programs intended to the engineering students followed by different Universities in different places inside and outside Libya.
 Presenting an exploration of the Libyan engineering mathematics scheme in practice by constructing a questionnaire based up the ideas collected from different schemes under study and introduced to some staff members teaching engineering students in order to discover whether or not the mathematics scheme intended to these students is relevant to them and satisfies their needs during the years of study and their jobs after that.
 Designing a model of mathematics scheme for these students the courses selection and topics are based upon the corresponding programs in various Universities under study . This suggested scheme was introduced to some staff members concerned with engineering students in order to investigate their view points about the course relevance and suitability to intended students.
 Analyses of the questionnaire responses using statistical models.
 
 through this study, we reached some conclusions and recommendations.
