Abstract
The properties of optical and electrical signals are measured and analyzed of the Self-Quenching Streamer (SQS) mode. In the SQS coexistence region, both the light output of the streamer and the charge amplitude increase in linearity with the counter anode high voltage. It is also demonstrated that the light output of the streamer in an SQS avalanche is proportional to the charges induced, and that the threshold voltage rises in linearity as the content of the quenching gas increases.
