Abstract

The new modernized curriculum aimed at vocational education allows approaching the vocational identity formation process in a way that involves making decisions related to the continuation of studies and career by capitalizing on information about oneself, education and occupations. The modernized curriculum for the Counseling and personal development discipline, from Romania and within the Personal Development discipline and the Personal Development and career planning module, from the Republic of Moldova, is designed to respond to the challenges of contemporary society. The article proposes a detailed presentation of the program of the Counseling and personal development discipline, from Romania and establishes the guidelines of the Vocational Education Program in the design of which we achieved a fusion between the specific competencies of the Counseling and personal development discipline, ways of educational intervention at the school group level in different stages development and learning activities.
