Abstract

Pakistan’s Competition Act, 2010 (CA ’10) and Competition prohibits anti-competitive agreements, and provides elaborate substantive guidelines to suppress and sanction anti-competitive agreements. More specifically, CA '10 prohibits: 1. Any undertaking from entering into any agreement with the object or effect of preventing, restricting or reducing competition within the relevant market; 2. Any association of undertakings to enter into any agreement with the object or effect of preventing, restricting or reducing competition within the relevant market; or 3. Any association of undertakings from making any decision in respect of the production, supply, distribution, acquisition or control of goods or the provision of services; which have the object or effect of preventing, restricting or reducing competition within the relevant market.
