Abstract

The paper presents issues related to the progressive transmission of 3D meshes in client- server architecture. A tool generating network traffic for different 3D scenes and scenarios is presented. The objective was to evaluate the transmission dynamics and possible impact of 3D traffic on the amount of data available in VR browsing client, which relates to browsing QoE (Quality of Experience). Simulation studies were carried out and HMM model of traffic generated by 3D server was worked out, planned for use in modeling works on future internet protocols, servicing 3D traffic.
