Abstract

Clinical data of 274 cases diagnosed as pheochromocytomas from 2002 to 2012 in Ruijin Hospital were analyzed in this study. Univariate and multivariate analyses of metastasis-free survival were applied. The results suggested that metastatic-free survival of patients with primary tumor 6 cm or more in diameter and extra-adrenal location was significantly lower(P<0.05). The hazard ratio for metastasis in larger tumor size and extra-adrenal group was 1.14 and 3.38 respectively. Primary tumor size and location were independent risk factors for metastases. Key words: Pheochromocytomas; Metastasis; Cox regression
