Abstract

This review deals with a number of enzymes produced by various moderate, eubacterial halophiles. The effects of salts on both the production and activities of different enzymes from these organisms have been studied. It is shown that the nature of the anions, as well as the cations can influence the production of different enzymes. The nature of these effects varies for different enzymes, and is not, at present, predictable.
