Abstract
The future system for setting the priority for actions in contaminated sites is expected to come into force together with the amendment of the Contaminated Sites Act. As regards the risk of contamination of groundwater, highest priority will be given to sites situated in “areas of special interest for supply of drinking water”. Regarding possible conflicts with land use, residential houses will get the highest priority, and regarding the risk of surface water contamination, highest priority will be given to sites with an established effect on the surface water.
