Abstract
In connection with the opening in the National University of Physical Education and Sport of Ukraine a new direction of students training – «Tourism» – the issue of qualitative preparation of future specialists, in particular the foreign ones is actualized. This article describes the areas that should be prioritized in order to achieve set goals, including: structuring phases of education activities according to professional profile; usage of active and interactive methods of teaching foreign languages; the use of interactive communication technologies; independent work of students of creative character.

Summary
Згідно з освітньо-професійною програмою (ОПП) з напряму «Туризм», в якому визначаєть ся нормативний зміст навчання, встановлюються вимоги до змісту, обсягу та рівня освітньої та про фесійної підготовки майбутнього фахівця, пропо нується рекомендований перелік навчальних дис циплін, серед яких вивчення двох іноземних мов. Керівництво НУФВСУ та кафедри туризму усвідомлює, що для набуття студентами іншомов ної компетентності, принаймні, на мінімальному рівні В-2, обсягу годин, рекомендованого в ОПП, недостатньо.
