Abstract
Ever increasing demands for greater precision with screen printing, especially with solder paste printing for surface mount devices (SMDs), coupled with equally high demands for economy, are forcing screen printing machine manufacturers into further development and problem elimination. One possibility clearly exists in using vision systems for automatic position correction, so achieving a greater degree of accuracy as well as the capability for repeatability. The deciding factor regarding effectiveness of this type of equipment lies in the ability to solve detailed design problems.
