Abstract
Information-Centric Networking (ICN) is considered as the architecture for next generation network, which takes the security into account in the design phase. However, it is undeniable that ICN is still faced with the problem of denial of service (DoS) attacks as with Internet. In this paper, we explored DoS attacks in ICN from three aspects of target, process and principle, divided DDoS attacks into 4 categories, and studied protection framework for ICN defending against DDoS attacks. Then, we discussed the specific DoS attack defense methods, which are helpful for future research.
