Abstract

γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) and related drugs reduce the size of the excitatory postsynaptic potential (e.p.s.p.) in the crayfish neuromuscular preparation. The effective inhibitory concentrations of these drugs were compared and the sites of action—postsynaptic and presynaptic—were determined.
