Abstract

To meet the demand of higher fuel injection performance in heavy duty diesel engine, high pressure dual common rail system (HPDCRS) suitable to heavy duty diesel engine is presented, pressure balance valve (PBV) is used to connect dual common rail, dual PID control is presented to control dual rail pressure by pressure control valve (PCV) and PBV, a neural network structural PID (NNS-PID) is introduced to perform coefficient tuning of PID automatically, simulation model of pressure control is founded in MATLAB/Simulink environment, pressure control calculation of dual common rail in the different target pressure is made. The results shown that PCV PID control can rapidly trace different target pressure, PBV PID control effetely decrease pressure difference between the two common rails, balanced regulation on common rail pressure of dual common rail injection system is feasible.
