Abstract
We propose GISRE, a Geographical Information System for Road network Extraction, management and updating. This GIS includes the following mean modules:‐ Database management and handling module,‐ Database analysis and interrogation module,‐ Data updating module,‐ Road network extraction from satellite image module,‐ Road network extraction from maps module,‐ Registration module.The proposed GIS is dedicated at this time to Western Algeria Road Network and will extend to the whole Algerian Road network in the near future.
