Abstract

Keller, H. A. & S. G. Tressens. 2007. New records for Argentina of two multipurpose species: Acca sello- wiana (Myrtaceae) and Casearia lasiophylla (Flacourtiaceae). Darwiniana 45(2): 204-212. Acca sellowiana (Myrtaceae) and Casearia lasiophylla (Flacourtiaceae) are reported for the first time for the Argentinean flora. The genus Acca has not been previously recorded for Argentina. These species are widely known in other countries because of their multiple uses. Distinctive characters of both species are provided together with illustrations (photographs) and information about their geogra- phical distribution, vernacular names, uses and ecological observations.
