Abstract

BackgroundPhotocatalytic degradation of pollutants has the characteristics of high energy efficiency and no secondary pollution. In this paper, organic-inorganic perylene diimide modified BiO2-x (PDI/BiO2-x) was synthesized, which can degrade various kinds of pollutants efficiently. MethodThe samples were characterized by XRD, FTIR, SEM, DRS, PL and ESR. ResultsIt was found that the introduction of PDISA effectively improved the separation efficiency and increased surface area of BiO2-x. When PD/BiO2-x catalyst was used to degrade RhB and MB, the degradation rates were increased by 21 and 18 times respectively. In addition, it could also degrade methyl orange and tetracycline hydrochloride. At the same time, the degradation rate still maintained 85% through five times recycle experiments.
