Abstract

The reaction of dicobalt octacarbonyl Co 2(CO) 8 with dendritic ethynyl carbosilanes Si(CC-Ph) 4 ( GO), Si(CHCPhSiMe(CCPh) 2) 4 ( G1) and Si(CHCPhSiMe(CHCPhSiMe(CCPh) 2) 2) 4 ( G2) gave the corresponding ethynyl hexacarbonyl complexes: Si(CCPh) 4-4Co 2(CO) 6 ( G0-SCo) (MW = 1575), Si(CHCPhSiMe(CCPh) 2) 4·8Co 2(CO) 6 ( G1-16Co (3703) and G2-32Co (7964)). The molecular mass of the cobalt carbonyl complexes of ethynylsilane dendrimers ( GO-8Co and G1-16Co) was determined by MALDI mass spectroscopic attachments.
