Abstract

CuAlO 2 and CuCrO 2 thin films were prepared by sol–gel processing and subsequent thermal treatment in air and inert gas atmosphere. Resistivities of 700 Ω cm and 60 Ω cm with optical transmissions of 65% and 32% were achieved respectively. The crystallization temperature of 700 °C allows the preparation of CuCrO 2 on borosilicate glass. P-type conductivity was verified by Seebeck measurements and a transparent heterostructure including p-CuCrO 2 showed rectifying behavior.
