Several bicyclo [3.1.1] compounds have been prepared for possible uses in asymmetric synthesis, including 10-phenyl-α-pinene and the diastereomeric (1S,2S,5S)-10-phenylmyrtanols. The geometry and NMR properties of bicyclo [3.1.1] compounds have been investigaited by using molecular mechanics and NMR coupling constants
