Abstract

3, 5-Dimethylpyrazole-3, 5-14C and its hypoglycemic metabolite, 5-methylpyrazole-3-carboxylic acid-5-14C, were each prepared by separate two-step reaction sequences from acetone-2-14C in 38% and 46% yields, respectively.
