Abstract

The objective of this paper is to investigate the effect of DMP-30 on the curing rate and mechanical properties of waterborne epoxy emulsified asphalt (WEREA). WEREA/DMP-30 composites were prepared and the high temperature rheological properties, low temperature rheological properties, adhesion properties, tensile properties and fluorescence microscopy images of DMP-30 modified WEREA were investigated. Results showed that DMP-30 can effectively reduce the curing time of WEREA. There are positive and negative effects of DMP-30 on the mechanical properties of WEREA.The 1% and 2% DMP-30 dosing showed an enhancement of the high temperature performance and tensile strength, while the 3% DMP-30 dosing showed a weakening effect. In addition, the ductility and flexibility of WEREA are improved with the addition of DMP-30. The above results provide a reference for material optimization design of waterborne epoxy resin modified emulsified asphalt.
