Abstract
Properties of colloidal suspensions of Mn x Fe 1- x Fe 2O 4 particles have been investigated using electron microscopy, magnetic measurements and dc-susceptibility techniques. Effect of temperature on the magnetic properties of ferrofluids in both liquid and solid states has been studied. Analysis of the data yields information on the anisotropy constant, particle size distribution and superparamagnetic behaviour.
