Abstract
In 1976, several palynological profiles were sampled during the archeological exacavations at Biache St-Vaast. (Northen France). They show that the paleolithic settlement is contemporary of a Saalian interstadial. The dominance of Quercus (22,7 %) and the relative abundance of Fagus (6,4 %) give to this interstadial a temperate aspect, in agreement with the faunistic studies.
