Abstract

The first reports of theileriosis in Zambia were in 1922 at Fife in the Northern Province (Sempebwa, 1977). Since then fatal theileriosis, thought to be East Coast fever (E.C.F.) in the Eastern and Northern Provinces and Corridor Disease in the Southern, Central and Lusaka Provinces, has been reported in various annual reports of the Veterinary Department. No detailed accounts of theileriosis in the remainder of Zambia have appeared in the literature.
