Abstract

This is the proceedings of the Fifth International Conference on Intelligent Human-Machine Systems and Cybernetics (IHMSC 2013) from 26-27 August 2013 in Hangzhou, China. The conference proceeding is published by the IEEE Computer Society Conference Publishing Service (CPS). Advances in Intelligence Science and Engineering, Human-Machine Systems, and Cybernetics continually play important roles in creating intelligent and interactive environments involving state-of-art technologies. The aim of this conference is to provide a forum for exchanges of research results, ideas for and experience of application among researchers and practitioners involved with all aspects of Human- Machine Systems and Cybernetics. There are six sessions devoted to theories and methodologies for this conference. This year, IHMSC 2013 has received an overwhelming response of 500 papers submitted to the Program Committee, from 8 countries and regions. After the rigorous reviewing process, about 280 papers are accepted for presentations and included in the proceedings. These papers will be presented during the 2-day conference.
