Abstract
Cultivated land protection and food security are always major issues related to the national economy and people’s livelihood. With the development of the economy and the reduction of high-quality reserve arable land resources, the difficulty of land consolidation has escalated. In this context, A series of land consolidation methods were innovated applied land science and technology in Shaanxi Province, transforming difficult-to-use land into arable land resources by reconstructing soils, mainly including soft rock and sand synthetic “soil”, barren gravel land farming layer construction and stained soils reconstruction have ensured the economic and social development in Shaanxi Province and provided a reference for land consolidation in other regions in China.
