The DHA treatment decreased the lipogenic program; disrupted lipid raft; inhibited HER-2 signaling; and induced apoptosis (p < 0.001). The treatment with Trastuzumab and GW9662 were not effective. Conclusion: Lipogenic phenotype was associated with oncogenic transformation by HER2, and its modulation by DHA increased death in tumor cells. DHA may represent a useful tool for controlling the HER2-positive breast cancer.
