Abstract

Implementation of an intense source of extreme ultraviolet radiation is possible on the basic of a gas-discharge plasma. The key point in this approach is a source of powerful terahertz pulses. We describe a modification of large-orbit pulsed gyrotron operating on the third cyclotron harmonic at the operating frequency of 1 THz. This modification allows increasing the output power of the gyrotron up to 4 kW.
