Abstract

AbstractThis paper presents a new method for static state-estimation of power system parameters. In the proposed technique, contraction mapping principle is combined with singular value decomposition technique to select the appropriate measurements for state estimation in larger power systems and in the presence of bad data. The proposed technique is applied to the IEEE 118 buses power system benchmark and the results are evaluated and discussed.
