Abstract

An increasing proliferation of microwave sources and their continuously broadening scope of applications result in the necessity of an assessment of the potential radiation hazard in various situations. Recently, there has appeared quite a large number of references dealing with specific sources. This paper provides a review of various microwave radiation sources to assist in a general understanding of the basic characteristics of the sources which are pertinent to microwave radiation hazards.
