Abstract

Abstract The Test was conducted on a commercial soybean field planted in 30-inch rows near Royal Oak, Talbot County, Md. Soybeans were planted on 26 May. At the time of treatment on 11 Jul the plants were flowering. Damage to the soybeans was light. Treatment plots were 20 × 20 ft, replicated 4 times, and arranged in a randomized complete block design. Sprays were applied by CO2 backpack sprayer calibrated to deliver 20 gal/acre at 40 psi. Posttreatment counts were made at 3, 7, and 14 days and included nymphs and adults. Ten random 180- degree sweeps were made in each plot.
