Abstract

Objective: To identify impact of duration to admission to inpatient rehabilitation on rehabilitation-related outcomes across 5 impairment categories (stroke, brain dysfunction, spinal cord injury, orthopedic fractures, joint replacements). Design: Secondary data analysis of records obtained from the Uniform Data System for Medical Rehabilitation (UDSMR). The UDSMR is the largest nongovernmental registry comprised of data for medical rehabilitation. Setting: Inpatient rehabilitation facilities across the United States.
