Abstract
Left ventricular assist device (LVAD) is commonly used as bridge to transplant (BTT) and as bridge to candidacy (BTC) or destination therapy (DT) in patients with relative or absolute contraindications to transplant. Little data exists about post-transplant outcomes in patients whose strategic intent changes over time. The purpose of this study is to compare transplant outcomes between BTT candidates and BTC or DT patients.
