Abstract
Purpose: It is not uncommon for endoscopists to receive phone calls from patients following colonoscopy complaining of alteration of their bowel habit. Currently, there are no data on when patients can expect to resume their baseline bowel habit following a routine colonoscopy. This study was performed to determine the length of time it would take a patient to return to baseline following a routine colonoscopy.
