Forbes, D. Abstract New photometric and spectroscopic observations of the 51-day Cepheid GY Sagittae and nearby OB stars are presented which confirm the Population I nature of the Cepheid and suggest its possible membership in an anonymous OB association. On the basis of agreement in spatial location, reddening, and evolutionary status, it appears that GY Sge is probably a member of a loose association consisting of at least 17 luminous stars at a common distance of 3.47 + or - 0.13 kpc. The equivalent B-star reddening of 1.29 + or - 0.06 derived for the Cepheid, together with the assumption of association membership, results in an intensity-mean absolute magnitude of -6.34 + or -0.19.
