Abstract

Due to an intensive exploitation of the geothermal waters from the locality Podlog — Banja, Kocani, Macedonia, the oscillation of the piesometric water level of the local aquifer, with residual decreasing of the level up to 10 m/y., has been observed. With an aim to preserve the natural conditions of the aquifer, a research programme including an experiment of reinjection of the used geothermal water was performed. On the basis of the obtained so far results and some assumptions (thickness of the aquifer d=50m, Q inj=150 l·s −1, ect), a prediction for the thermal behaviour of the tested aquifer for combined porosity, was evaluated. A value of t=30 years for a period of safety exploitation without any changing of the temperature, even in case of injection of cold water, was established.
