Abstract

Statistical treatment of the scintigraphically determined nuclide distribution and a form of information presentation that is optimal for evaluation seem to be the essential factors for the improvement of liver scintigraphy. These demands are met by scintigraphy with multi-channel-analyzer. Information smoothing helps to reduce the variation to about half of the original value, i.e. about 4%. For information output it is recommended to represent the processed information in the form of isocount ranges. Count range variations by more than 5% can be recorded and localized with certainty by this method.
