To develop a health economic budget impact model estimating the direct medical cost savings and bed day capacity release when replacing a non-antimicrobial intravascular (IV) catheter site dressing with an antimicrobial, chlorhexidine containing IV catheter securement dressing in patients receiving haemodialysis (HD) via tunnelled central venous catheter (CVC).
