Abstract

Scrub typhus is a re-emerging vector-borne disease caused by Orientia tsutsugamushi. The spectrum of the disease varies from mild acute febrile illness to multi-organ failure and death. Renal involvement in scrub typhus includes urinary abnormalities, acute kidney injury requiring dialysis, CKD and death. In this study, we aimed to determine the incidence, risk factors and outcome of scrub typhus associated AKI.
