Abstract

The article describes the main reasons that led to the change of Polish state policy towards Ukrainian national minority in Chelm and Southern Podlasie regions in the second half of the 1930s. The author shows preparations of the Polish government to polonization policy of the region and its implementation in 1917–1938.
