Abstract
Transverse polarization transfer coefficients K y y′ have been measured at a reaction angle of 0° for the reactions 9 Be( p , n ) 9 B, 11 C and 13 C( p , n ) 13 N . In the energy range covered by these measurements, i.e., from about 7 to 15 MeV, the K y y′ (0) values are generally positive. The polarization transfer excitation functions all show considerable structure which we largely attribute to compound nucleus effects.
