Abstract

ABSTRACT Domain configuration during polarization switching in ferroelectric thin films was studied by optical second harmonic generation on different time scales: quasistatic (0.1 Hz), low-frequency (0.1–1 kHz) and fast (0.1 GHz). It is shown that within the electric pulses of several tenth of nanoseconds domain configuration may be different from the equilibrium.
