Abstract

Through the variation of experimental conditions, this paper examines advantages of enriched Pešter's peat used for a cultivation of pepper seedling. Peat is enriched with equal doses of complex mineral fertilizer NPK 15:15:15 and various doses of hydrated lime, zeolite, microelements and perlite. Different biological indicators of seedling have been observed.Best results are achieved by enriching Pester's peat with NPK mineral fertilizer or NPK mineral fertilizer and microelements. Adding different microelements didn't have a positive effect on plant length and number of leaves, but it affected a higher number of flower buds being developed.
