Abstract

To the Editor.— Andalusia is in the southern part of Spain; Malaga is the capital of an Andalusian province. It was in Malaga that Pablo Picasso was born and where he spent his early years before moving with his family to Galicia and then later to Barcelona. Although he lived in Catalonia for several years, I doubt that Picasso ever mastered the Catalan language. He certainly never considered himself a Catalan national, as was stated inTHE JOURNAL. 1 Joan Mirḿ and Salvador Dalḿ bring honor to the Catalan people. Allow Picasso to do the same for the Andalusian.
