Abstract

Physicians' use of data within prescription drug monitoring programs (PDMPs) continues to increase steadily, likely a result of state mandates around use, suggests a newly published study based on results of a survey of office‐based physicians. The study's lead author told ADAW the study also illustrates that a substantial number of physicians continue not to be maximizing the availability of PDMP data, with overall workload cited as a major contributor.
