Abstract

Objectives Upon completion of this activity, the learner will be able to: 1.Discuss the difference between malformations, deformations, disruptions and dysplasia. 2.Recognize the importance of assessing for the presence of minor congenital anomalies in the newborn. 3.Understand the potential significance of selected minor congenital anomalies and why their presence may require further investigation. Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) Credit A total of 2 contact hours may be earned as CNE credit for reading Physical Assessment of the Newborn: Minor Congenital Anomalies and for completing an online post-test and participant feedback form. Certificates of completion will be issued on receipt of the completed participant feedback form and processing fees.
